1st - 5th February
This Children's Mental Health Week, we're shining a spotlight on the importance of children and young people's mental health and fundraising to help more children and young people get the emotional support they need.
As a school we celebrated this on Friday 5th February with an 'Express Yourself' day.
We also did some lesson work related to the special week.
We know that many children and young people's mental health has been affected over the past year. According to one survey, 83% of young people with mental health conditions found that these worsened during the COVID-19 pandemic - meaning Place2Be's work has never been more needed.
Let's come together and work towards a future where no child has to face mental health problems alone.
As part of the special week, we created a Just Giving Page in support of Place2Be
From Place2Be:
Firstly, I wanted to personally get in touch to say a huge thank you for taking part in this years’ Children’s Mental Health Week and for raising vital funds to support children’s mental health. It’s now been almost 2 months since the week and we’re thrilled to say we’ve raised over £80,000 in total – we can’t thank you enough for being a part of this.
Your incredible fundraising is helping to make a difference right now to the lives of children and young people that we support. From providing counselling and support to children when they need it most, to working with parents who may be struggling, to providing invaluable mental health training to teachers and school staff.
This is only possible because of amazing fundraisers like you!
As a small token of our appreciation, please see your thank you certificate attached. If there are any errors on the certificate, please do get in touch so that we can fix this up for you.
Once again, thank you so much for getting involved in this years’ Children’s Mental Health Week. We hope to see you again next year!
Thanks,
Alice
