On Friday 19th July the families and staff joined together for a celebration of the children's time at Wanborough Primary School.
The children read poems and prayers, as well as giving us their memories of each year at the school.
They also sang a song from their show and a new "Sweetest Goodbye" song, based on a well known track!
Rev Stephen Paynter congratulated them on their time at the school and presented Bibles provided by St Andrew's Church. Mr Drury presented certificates and year books.
Mr Drury recalled some of the key points of the children's time at the school, notably their resilience as a year group very impacted by the Covid restrictions. Thanks and presentations were made to staff on behalf of the Year 6 families, who also donated the fantastic animal show that the whole school enjoyed on 15th July.
Finally, everyone watched the video of the class, having fun around school, to the accompaniment of some class Queen songs.
Then it was time to relax and have an informal party to mark (almost) the end of the children's time at Wanborough. To all our leavers: Good Luck and Best Wishes for your future!
