On Thursday 9th November we were visited by Rob from Keystone Environmental and Helen from Swindon Borough Council who helped us to plant some oak seedlings.
They will be used to improve the habitat around the new Southern Connector Road. We'll look after the trees until they are ready to go out on site.
Acorn Class planted acorns collected this year, which will be grown on to become next year's seedlings. Acorn Class visited Warneage Wood on 3rd November, see our report here...
Every class in the school took part in the planting sessions. Everyone really enjoyed it!
It was amazing to to think that these trees could live for hundreds of years and still improving the environment way into the future.
We were even rewarded with a rainbow!
