Tuesday June 26th was our Sports Day, with Reception and Key Stage 1 in the morning and Key Stage 2 in the afternoon.
It was hot and sunny all day, so we made sure that the children and visitors had shade and refreshment. It was great to see so many family members joining the children for picnic lunch on the field.
Reception / Key Stage 1
In the morning, Reception and Key Stage 1 were competing for their houses, but their total scores weren't revealed, as they were carried over to be added to the KS2 points in the afternoon.
After the children had competed, there was time for some pre-school races and some keenly fought Mums' and Dads' Egg and Spoon Races.

Key Stage 2
In the afternoon it was KS2's turn to compete in their houses for the House Sports Award.
The points totals from the Reception / KS1 events were added in at the end. The KS2 events saw a small lead for Air, with all the other houses very close, but Water were able to carry over a lead from the morning events to secure victory by 36 points to become the overall house sports champions of 2024.
All houses competed enthusiastically and all houses had outstanding individual performances, so congratulations to everyone for competing in such a good spirit!
